OVERVIEW
While the NCA takes pride in each and every project completed by our skilled craft workers and world-class contractors, an NCA Signature Project meets or exceeds the high standard set forth by the NCA. In essence, we recognize the “best of the best”. Click here to view the current list.
QUALIFICATIONS
Each year in the month of October, the NCA will solicit nominations for consideration as a Signature Project from its members, contractors and others. Nominations will close in late-November. Once all nominations are received and recorded, the selection committee will review all nominees and select those that meet the minimum Signature Project standard. In December, a two-thirds vote will determine elevating a project to Signature Project status, after which the project team will be notified and the project posted in the Signature Project section on the NCA website.
At each NCA General Convention, all Signature Projects from the previous period will be recognized. In addition, special recognition will be given to the top project in each category as determined by the selection committee.
Nomination for Signature Project status will be based on an analysis of the following:
Size and cost of the total project
Number of hours worked by NCA members
Job safety record
Additionally, the following factors will be considered, with a minimum of three meeting or exceeding the project standard :
Completion of the project at or under budget
Completion of the project as scheduled or sooner
Uniqueness of design and awards received
Total number of union crafts involved in project
Regional market share penetration
Any other unique qualifying factor as determined by the selection committee
